AUBURN — Brownie MacIntosh of the Julie & Brownie singing duo will sign copies of the book “A Pirate’s Life For Me” and his new coloring book, “The Great Veg Out,” at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Percy’s Burrow. Dressed as pirates, the two will also perform a few songs from the book.
In “A Pirate’s Life for Me!,” Julie & Brownie take readers on an exciting, historical voyage. Introducing famous pirates of fact and fiction, they explain to children how pirates lived.
MacIntosh, who co-authored “A Pirate’s Life for Me” with Julie Thompson, is an internationally published songwriter whose credits include songs for The Kingston Trio, The Irish Rovers, the PBS series “Nova” and the Atlantic Music Corp. He performs for children all over the country. MacIntosh also wrote “The Streamlined Double Decker Bus” (Covered Bridge Press, 1995) based on his original song. He resides in New Hampshire with his wife and son.
