NORWAY – The Progress Center will hold its second Day of Giving on Friday, June 5. Volunteers are needed to help clear the path for the second loop in the Matthew Record Memorial Park and Trail, a handicapped-accessible park and trail for use by the Oxford Hills community.
Work will begin about 8:45 a.m., and a lunch will be prepared and served by the clients and staff of the Progress Center.
When completed, the park and trail, a certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat at 35 Cottage St., will be available for public use on weekends and evenings. The park will feature picnic tables, benches, a wheelchair swing and small viewing gardens.
Wooden plant signs will be created by the Progress Center consumers to help educate the public. Those served by the Progress Center will utilize the park for fitness, relaxation and gardening projects.
