STARKS – Delmar Alvin “Buddy” Pond Jr., 48, of Starks passed away at his home on May 12.

He was born in Farmington, on June 25, 1960, the son of Rosalie and Delmar Pond Sr. He graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1978. He had completed an online course in electricity and computer repair.

He worked at the Wilton Tannery and was a team leader at the Hartland Tannery. He had worked at Tyco in New Hampshire and several other area businesses.

Buddy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Raven. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, reading sci-fi, listening to rock and roll, carpentry work, bowling, doing crossword puzzles and watching the Red Sox and Patriots.

He is survived by his son, Alvin Pond and his wife, Allison, and their daughter, Raven, of Farmington; his soul partner, Kelly Clark, and her son, Alex, of Starks; a brother, Terry Pond and his wife, Chantal, of Chesterville; three sisters, Debbie Ziehm and her husband, Rudolph, of Sabattus, Sonya Pond of Farmington and Rose Bachelder and her husband, Pee Wee, of Strong; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Amber; and his parents.
