GREENE – Teresa G. Reichel, 92, of Turner, died Tuesday, May 12, in Greene, at the home of her daughter.

She was born in Bingham, on Aug. 17, 1916, the daughter of Grover C. and Lillian McClintich Greenleaf and was educated in Livermore Falls schools, graduating from Livermore Falls High School in 1933, and attended night sessions at the Maine School of Commerce.

She had been employed at J.J. Murphy Fur Co. for six years, Central Maine General Hospital in the business office and clinic for 27 years, retiring in 1982.

She married John W. Reichel in Lewiston in 1946, and he died in 1951. She enjoyed bird watching, reading, crossword puzzles, riding on country roads, writing verse and eating out. She was a member of the Turner Senior Citizens and Turner Village Ladies Circle and was a member of the Turner Mother’s Club, when it was active.

She is survived by three children, Stanley Ellingwood and Sylvia of Spokane, Wash., Brenda Reichel of Greene and John Reichel and Veronica of East Buckfield; four grandchildren, Kevin and Brook Ellingwood, Erika Williams and Machie Reichel; and a great-grandson, Asa Ellingwood.
