Maine State Police involved in a standoff with an armed man closed both sides of the Maine Turnpike from Exit 43 near Riverside Street to the Portland North exit in Portland Saturday night, according to WGME. News 13 reported on its Web site that the man reportedly told police he had a gun and was ready to use it. No further information was available late Saturday night.
