PORTLAND — Portland Ballet will hold auditions from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, for Portland Dances! — New Works Showcase. This is an open audition for dancers ages 15 and up; dancers should be
available to rehearse in June, July and August in preparation for the
showcase to be presented Aug. 14-15 at John Ford Theater.
This is the eighth annual showcase, presented by Portland Ballet. Portland Dances! – New Works Showcase provides local choreographers with an opportunity to create and present a variety of dance genres in a theater setting. Past pieces have incorporated modern, jazz, hip-hop and classical ballet. Dancers with a variety of styles and experiences are welcome to the audition at Portland Ballet Studios, 517 Forest Ave.
