CORNING, N.Y. – Luella H. Fraser, 82, of Painted Post, N.Y., went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 22.

She was born in New Portland on Aug. 3, 1926, a daughter of Thurston H. and Anna Johnston Hutchins.

She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1944, and before her marriage was the manager of Western Union in Brunswick. She married Grover Fraser, also from Brunswick, on Jan. 1, 1950.

Together they made their home in Painted Post, N.Y. She was a member of the East Lindley Baptist Church in New York.

Luella is survived by her husband of 59 years, Grover Fraser; five children, George Fraser and his wife, Sally, of Painted Post, N.Y., Bruce Fraser and his wife, Jane, of Manlius, N.Y., James Fraser and his wife, Sue, of Tully, N.Y., Ruth Ann Rogers and her husband, Dave, of Santiago, Chile and Meta Arthur and her husband, Joe, of Sao Paulo, Brazil; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Erwin Hutchins of Waldoboro and William Hutchins and his wife, Carmen, of East Lindley, N.Y.; two sisters, Alena Fraser and her husband, Howard, and Clara Hutchins, both of Brunswick; several nieces and nephews; and several grand-nices and grand-nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Mark Hutchins; a sister; Martha Stickney; a brother-in-law, Fred Stickney; and a sister-in-law, Laura Hutchins.
