GREENE — Announcement is made of the engagement of Cassandra Kirkland and Nathaniel Stambaugh, both of Boston.
Miss Kirkland is the daughter of Allan Kirkland and Kathryn Grefer-Kirkland of Greene. She is a 2004 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and received dual bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and physics from Bates College in Lewiston. She is pursuing her doctorate in physics at Northeastern University in Boston.
Mr. Stambaugh is the son of Susan Petroccia of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., and Daniel Stambaugh of Rhinebeck, N.Y. He is a graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, with triple bachelor’s degrees in mathematics, chemistry and physics. He received his master’s degree in mathematics from Brandeis University in 2008 and is currently pursuing his doctorate in mathematics at Brandeis University in Boston.
An afternoon wedding will take place on June 20 in Quechee, Vt.
