NORWAY – John C. Schnoor Sr., 66, of Otisfield died Monday, June 8, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Killingworth, Conn., on Oct. 1, 1942, the son of Alfred and Elizabeth Ramage Schnoor. He attended schools in Killingworth and had been employed by the state of Maine for 43 years, the last 35 years as a driving examiner in the Scarborough area. He loved working for the state of Maine. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his children, son, John C. Jr. and his wife, Sue A., of Oxford and their daughter, Jennifer J. Schnoor; son, William K. Sr. and his wife, Bettie Jo, of Strafford, N.H., and their children William, Jr., Brian J. and Bradley L.; daughter, Katherine A. Patterson and her husband, Bill, of Torrington, Conn., and their daughter, Brittany McLean; daughter, Amy E. Gaug and her husband, John, of Standish, and their children, Zaida and Lif; and a brother, James Schnoor; two nephews, Tom Fortier and Louis (Jr.) Fortier.
