GREENE – Joseph Bushey Jr., 73, of 150 Meadow Hill Road, Greene, died Saturday, June 13, at home, with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston, on Jan. 10, 1936, the son of Joseph Sr. and Delia Bushey. Educated in local schools, he married Jeannette Niemi on Oct. 22, 1957.

After entering the Army Reserves and working with his father at Bushey Lumber Co., he worked as a finish carpenter with Jean Jacques Construction. Once retired, he enjoyed building and repairing things for family and friends.

He had a life long love of the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping with his family, especially at the Range Pond Campground.

A member of Holy Family Parish, he survived by his wife of Greene; a son, Donald of Auburn; two daughters, Cathleen and husband, Jeffrey Proctor, of Portland and Rachel and husband, David Larrivee, of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Joline Mason, John Schnopp, Heather Bushey and Kayla Larrivee; five great-grandchildren, Zekeriah, Xavier and Sylas Mason, Shannon Goguen and Madison Schnopp; and many, many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Paul J. Bushey in 1981; both parents, Joseph and Delia Bushey; a brother, Lawrence Bushey; and a sister, Lena Bell.
