Horse rescue
INDUSTRY – Double B Equine Rescue, 997 West Mills Road, Route 148, will hold a “Come Meet the Horses” event that will include a yard sale, raffles, hamburgers and hot dogs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 27, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28, to raise money for the nonprofit organization. RANGELEY – Yard salers, bakers and crafters are wanted for Thursday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost for a table is $10, inside or out, at the American Legion, 2378 Main St. The event will be held rain or shine. Call Mary at 864-5115.
Alumni banquet
FARMINGTON – The Farmington Area Alumni Association will hold its annual meeting and banquet on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Mt. Blue High School.
The social hour will begin at 4 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6. Tickets will cost $12. Scholarship recipients for 2009 will be recognized. A business meeting will follow to announce and discuss a significant change in FAAA scholarship funds.
