DURHAM — Nomination papers are available for a special election to fill a vacancy on the Board of Selectmen. The opening was created by the resignation of Christine Charette. The municipal election will be held Tuesday, July 7, to elect a selectman to serve until the town meeting in 2011.
Nomination papers are available at the Town Clerk’s Office and must be filed no later than 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 26. A minimum of 25 signatures of registered voters is required. Michelle Thibeault, Troy Planche and Malcolm Shove had taken out papers as of Monday, Town Clerk Shannon Plourde said.
