3 suspicious fires reported in Jefferson, Maine
JEFFERSON, Maine (AP) — Investigators in Jefferson are
appealing to the public for information to help them determine who set
three suspicious fires since Friday.
The most serious fire
destroyed the pavilion at Damariscotta Lake State Park. The park
manager told WCSH on Monday that the structure will cost an estimated
$40,000 to replace.
Another fire damaged a dugout at a ballfield
behind a school. Officials said there was a third suspicious fire but
did not release any information about it.
Investigators said they believe the three fires are connected.
