JAY — The Jay, Livermore Falls area is set to celebrate Independence Day on Friday, July 3, with a parade, music and fireworks.
The parade will kick off at 5 p.m. from the MEMCO parking lot on Main Street in Jay. The parade will continue down through Main Street in Livermore Falls and is expected to disband near Ware-Butler Inc. on Depot Street.
Parade lineup begins at 4 p.m.
There will be floats, antique vehicles and walkers representing a variety of groups among other highlights.
Vendors can set up on the streets in Livermore Falls and Chisholm Square during the day and evening.
VFW Post 3335 on Jewell Street in Jay will have a chicken barbecue right after the parade.
There will also be music at the Livermore Falls gazebo during the evening.
Fireworks will be set off at sunset, around 9 p.m., from at Spruce Mountain Ski Area.
