LEWISTON — The downtown Farmers Market will open for the season on Tuesday, July 7, from 2 to 6 p.m.
The market at the corner of Bates and Pine streets in Kennedy Park will feature fresh vegetables, face-painting, local musicians and a special veggie giveaway.
During the season, vendors will offer vegetables, breads, cheeses, fresh meats and berries, local crafts and guest appearances by local musicians each Tuesday afternoon. There will be cooking demonstrations from local restaurants on how to cook delicious, nutritious meals. Recipes and samples will be provided.
