Rogers 13, Bessey 1

AUBURN — Ryan Arnold slugged a two-run home run and Cody Goddard tossed a five-hitter to lead Rpgers Post to a 13-1 victory over Bessey Motors.

Rogers Post scored nine runs in the fourth inning to bring the game to an early ending.

Devin Flynn led Rogers (6-1) with three hits, while Mike Lutz, Cory Larue and Billy Brewster added two hit apiece. Brandon Chase had an RBI double for Bessey.

Andy Valley 6, Cole Farms 1

WINDHAM — Jordan Seely tossed a complete game two-hitter as Andy Valley defeated Cole Farms, 6-1, in Zone 3 American Legion baseball action Tuesday.

Seely fanned three and walked two in his seven innings of work. Steven Rouillard led the offense for Andy Valley (2-3) with two hits, while Derek Castonguay and Josh Tainter contributed RBI singles.

Owen Chaplin had a double for Cole Farms (1-4).

Gayton 8, Mechanic Falls 5

POLAND — Greg LaBonte hit a two-run double and teammates Alex Wong and Willy Emerson each had two hits as Gayton Post (6-1) slipped away with an 8-5 victory over stubborn and winless Mechanic Falls (0-7) in an American Legion baseball game Tuesday.

Gayton jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings before Mechanic Falls got three runs in the third. Themn Gayton picked up four runs in the fourth and sixth innings to do away with Mechanic Falls.

Joe Sullivan got the win on the mound for Gayton, which had a total eight hits and was not tagged with a single error. For Mechanic Falls, Nick Douglass had three hits and Dan Place and Trey Ouellette each had two hits.
