- The State Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention was held from June 12 to 14 in Winslow. New officers were elected and installed by Past National Commander-in-Chief Edward Banas from Niatic, Conn. Roy, state chief of staff and membership chairman, Auburn VFW Post 1603;and Randy Worthley, PSC and state veterans service chairman, Winslow VFW Post 8835.
