AUBURN — Pioneer Management Association has awarded scholarships to two children of employees.
Timothy Talarico, PMA president, said scholarships of $200 each were presented. Lindsay Carr of Lewiston will attend St. Joseph’s College. Carly Carlile of Hartford will attend the University of Maine at Augusta.
Each applicant had to be enrolled in a two- or four- year undergraduate degree program and be a dependent child of a full time Auburn Pionite employee. Applicants were also asked to write a 150-word essay on what they plan to do with their college education.
The board of directors chose two winners.
Pioneer Plastics has been in Auburn since 1965 and employs approximately 400 people. It has been in business for more than 50 years.
