FREEPORT — The National Endowment for the Arts has awarded Figures of Speech Theatre of Freeport an $18,000 grant through its “Learning in the Arts for Children and Youth” program.
The grant will enable Figures of Speech to offer fee subsidies of up to 50 percent for their teaching residencies and touring performances in a limited number of schools in under-served Maine schools during the 2009-10 school year.
