Dear Sun Spots: I would like the address of Jerry Remy, president of
the Red Sox nation and announcer on the NESN station in Boston. I would
like to know how he is doing and let him know that I miss his comments! Hope he is
feeling better. Thank you. — Velma Adams, Auburn.
Answer:

You can send letters to Jerry Remy in care of The Remy Report, P.O. Box
82, Weston, MA 02493. The latest update Sun Spots found was that
although he does not know when he’ll return, he is recovering well from
the lung cancer surgery.
Dear Sun Spots: I began an afghan to use up some of the colors of Red Heart worsted that I had, not concerned that I might run out of a color as there is no dye lot and they are always available. I did run out of light coral rose and found it is a discontinued color and even Coats and Clark, the manufacturers, told me they had no more of it.
If you have even four-ounces of that color I would appreciate hearing from you and would purchase it from you. Call 224-7143. I am in North Turner. Thank you. — Betty, North Turner.

Dear Sun Spots: Tommy Feral Feline Friends annual yard sale is being rescheduled because of weather conditions. The new date is July 17 and 18 at 242 Sawyer Road in Greene, one mile past the railroad tracks, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date will be July 24 and 25. Donations are still needed for this wonderful event to help the very unfortunate animals. Please call Norm at 650-8374 for a convenient time to pick up your donation. We appreciate your support to care for these poor forgotten animals.Thank you again. — Stan Carmichael, executive secretary, Tommy Feral Feline Friends.
Dear Sun Spots: My name is Alix Spiegel and I’m a reporter with National Public Radio. I’m doing a story about health care and I’m hoping you can help.Apparently in the mid-seventies — from 1971 to 1978 — an extremely large number of women in Lewiston, Maine, got hysterectomies. Are you one of them? Do you know one of them? Are you interested in speaking with me about your experience? If so please contact me. Call (202) 513-2431 or e-mail aspiegel@npr.org. —

Dear Sun Spots: We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the businesses and
individuals who donated time, money and materials to the refurbishing of the
West Minot Grange. Your generosity has given us a freshly painted from top to
bottom dining room with new cabinets to store the dishes as well as a coffee
station. We also have totally renovated the kitchen with new walls, cabinets and
stove.
Last fall we got most of the outside painted and during the winter were
able to purchase an electric stair chair thanks to the support of all who
attend our fundraising events.

We will be having our annual indoor yard sale
on Aug. 15. You can contact a member to rent a table. The annual harvest
supper will also be held this fall. Come one, come all. We are now facing an
unexpected leak in the roof, so your support is greatly appreciated. Again, thanks to everyone for the support they have
already given. — Sharon, West Minot Grange.
