Fifth District (Oxford County), American Legion, Department of Maine, officers were special guests at the May 21 meeting of John D. Long, Post 58, Buckfield, to install the officers for 2009-1010. Installing officers were Fifth District Commander Bobby Richardson Jr. of Rumford, Robert Owen of Topsham and Joe Cooney of South Paris. In the photo, from left, are William Bickford and Lee Millett, both of Norway, installing the post officers: Richard Neusslein, new sergeant-at-arms; Mert Jones, service officer; Timothy Cooper, commander and historian; Bob Perry, chaplain: Conrad Conant, finance officer: and Gloria Hall, adjutant. Returning Vice Commander Tony Bruno will be sworn in at the June meeting. Cooper was sworn in as chaplain for Fifth District on April 21 in Rumford.
