Important issues are being discussed that I feel the public should be deeply concerned about.
I believe the Employee Free Choice Act would improve labor laws and help create a fair working environment for all. Maine’s delegation in Washington should support it.
Universal health care is needed in the United States. There is a lot of negative propaganda against it, but I don’t buy it. I am hoping that Maine Sens. Snowe and Collins will support it.
I believe it is time to recognize and respect gay couples and allow them equal rights to choose to be married and live in harmony with all people. They should be allowed the same privileges that other people have. We are all free to believe as we wish, but then, we will never go wrong by following The Golden Rule.
I hope others, including elected officials, will agree.
