CASTINE, Maine (AP) — Maine Maritime Academy says it will have record-high enrollment when school gets under way at the end of summer.

President Leonard Tyler said the college in Castine will have more than 900 students when classes begin on Aug. 31.

Given the tough enconomic times, Tyler said the enrollment figures reflect positively on the academy’s programs and the career opportunities for its graduates.
