AUBURN — Auburn won the 11-12 Distict 5 softball tournament with a pair of one-hit victories over Lewiston.

Corey Norcross pitched a one-hitter to lead Auburn to a 19-1 victory over Lewiston last week. Erica Lemieux had ther only hit for Lewiston. Corey Norcross and Kylie Martin had three hits, Danielle Rock and Emily Schario had two hits and Makayla Norcross and Hannah Smith each had one.

On Saturday morning, Auburn defeated Lewiston 13-1. Emily Schario pitched a one-hitter for Auburn, with Makayla Brown getting thye only hit. Corey Norcross had three hits, Olivia Paione, Emily Schario and Kylie Martin each had 2 hits, Danielle Rock, Brooke Reynolds and Hannah Smith each had a hit for Auburn.

Auburn will host the state tournament, which starts Thursday, July 16. Auburn is scheduled to play at 3 p.m. Auburn is coached by Bill Reynolds and Craig Norcross.
