LIVERMORE FALLS — Main-Land Development Consultants has named Rick Dunton its first-ever IT director.

Dunton, a native of Rumford who graduated from Mountain Valley High School in 2002, began his professional career at the Livermore Falls land development firm as an intern while working towards earning his bachelor’s in civil engineering from the University of Maine.

He started working full time at Main-Land as an engineer-in-training and project manager upon his graduation in 2006, and will continue working in these roles while taking on the added responsibilities as IT director.

Dunton’s promotion coincides with the launch of the new www.main-landdevelopment.com, the firm’s Web site created by Fayette designer Heather Peel, founder of Foliage Web Design.

In addition to overseeing the Web site redesign process and maintaining the blog, Dunton will also facilitate the integration of survey data collection and management with data storage and CAD drafting. In addition, he’ll maintain company CAD standards and make sure both the firm’s technology and its employees are kept current on the latest engineering, drafting and mapping software and other technology.

A member of the American Society of Civic Engineers, Dunton lives with his wife, Tricia, in Buckfield.
