MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library will host an American Girl Tea Party for girls ages 5 to 11 at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Calvin Lyons Hall next door to the library.

Those attending will meet American Girl, Julie, and travel back in time to the 1970s. Girls will work on a craft and participate in activities from that era. A real tea party with light refreshments will be held.

Any American Girl dolls are invited to attend with their owners. Although not necessary, girls are invited to dress in the style of clothing that was popular for girls in the 1970s.

RSVPs are encouraged by Tuesday, Aug. 4. For more information, call the library at 364-3281 or inquire at the circulation desk.
