The Great Falls Farmers and Artisans Market kicks off its Eat Local Week on Aug. 4 at the farmers’ market in Kennedy Park from  2 to 6 p.m.

Come taste seasonal veggies and
fruits, talk to your farmers, sample local restaurant fare and enjoy
music, games and fun activities for the whole family.

The youth, who participate in St. Mary’s Lots to Gardens Summer Youth Gardener program, have organized an exciting afternoon of festivities that will include local food tastings, veggie relay races, face painting and a veggie parade. There will also be cooking demos and tastings from Bates College Dining and Guthries Café.

Fiddling and other musical offerings will entertain, while all the regular produce, cheese, meats and herb vendors will be there as well. The fun starts at 3 p.m. and goes until 5 p.m.

Or stop by other markets to meet more farmers, taste more local produce and celebrate a week of local food, farms and businesses:
