Lewiston-Auburn service clubs will be encouraged to “adopt a spot,” a project among the beautification goals being considered by the Chamber of Commerce’s Beautification Committee, says Carol Tracy, vice president of a Chamber committee that is spearheading an overall program to clean up the Twin Cities.
The adopt-a-spot project was discussed at last week’s meeting of the Chamber’s Community and Business Development Committee and will be reviewed again at the group’s Wednesday meeting.
The project is designed to enhance the community’s appearance without the need of municipal or community-wide fund-raising, she said.
