Between Friday, July 24, at 7 a.m. and Friday, July 31, at 7 a.m. the Lewiston Police Department responded to 784 calls for service. Of those calls, 178 of them were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal mischief

A vehicle parked at 70 Blake St. had a window broken with a rock between 11 a.m. and 11:30 on July 29.

Advantage Gas and Tools at 44 Hammond St. had a window broken on July 25 at 7:30 a.m.

A vehicle parked at 76 Ash St. had a rear-view mirror broken off on July 24 between 1 and 9 a.m.

Jay’s Small Engines at 70 Holland St. was tagged with graffiti overnight July 27 to28. “BMB” and a shamrock were drawn with a large paint marker.

A window at 18 Horton St. was shot by a BB gun on July 24 at 1 p.m.

A vehicle parked at 65 Tall Pines Drive was egged overnight July 29 to 30.

A vehicle parked at 103 College St. was damaged overnight July 29 to 30.

A home at 8 Manning Place had a screen to a rear porch cut sometime prior to July 29.

Banner Doors at 1069 Sabattus St. was tagged with graffiti overnight July 29 to 30. “Gold” and “Golden” were spray painted in black paint.

The rear of the Promenade Mall at 855 Lisbon St. was tagged with graffiti again overnight July 26 to 27.

A mobile home at 2161 Lisbon St. had a hole punctured in the side of it overnight July 25 to 26.

An apartment at 61 Webster St. had a window broken between 6 p.m. on July 29 and 4 p.m. on July 30.

A vehicle parked at 88 Shawmut St. had a window smashed overnight July 25 to 26.

A building at 258 Blake St. was tagged with graffiti overnight July 28 to 29. “GSK” was spray painted.

An apartment at 114 Pierce St. had a window broken prior to 6:30 a.m. on July 29.

A building at 308 Bates St. had a wall tagged with graffiti on July 28 at 11:55 p.m. The suspects were two white males, one wearing a blue jersey with No. 1 on it.

A vehicle driving past 295 Bates St. was shot by a BB pistol on July 26 at 10 p.m. The suspect was operating a blue Honda with a loud muffler, possible registration: 7062RI.

An apartment at 135.5 Bartlett St. had a window broken by some thrown asphalt on July 26 at 7:30 a.m.

A vehicle parked at 41 Canal St. was keyed between 7 and 11 a.m. on July 29.

Theft

A debit card was stolen from a resident of Russell Park Manor at 158 Russell St. and later used at a local business.

A mailbox was stolen from 299 Pine St. overnight July 24 to 25.

A customer of Shaw’s at 27 East Ave. had her purse stolen from her grocery cart on July 30 at 5:30 p.m. The purse was later recovered but cash was stolen.

An awning to a hot dog stand at Lexington and Westminster streets was stolen overnight July 28 to 29.

Burglaries

Central Maine Power Sports at 845 Main St. was burglarized on July 26 at 4:40 a.m. The rear warehouse had a window broken by a traffic cone, and entry was made via a garage door. A motorcycle stored inside was stolen and turned up later on Lower Street in Turner.

A residence at 188 East Ave. was burglarized between 6:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. on July 29. A DVD player, cash and a Samsung cell phone were taken.

A residence at 7 Carew Ave. was burglarized between 6 a.m. on July 17 and 11 a.m. on July 20. A window screen was removed to gain entry; a cell phone, a jewelry box and a Dell laptop were taken.

An apartment at 97 Birch St. was burglarized on July 27 between 10:45 and 11:30 a.m. A 26-inch
Vizio TV was taken.

Motor vehicle burglaries

A vehicle parked at 42 Leavitt Ave. was burglarized overnight July 23 to 24. The vehicle was unlocked, the center console was broken open and spare change was taken.

A patron of Planet Fitness at 40 East Ave. had her purse stolen from her vehicle on July 20.

A vehicle parked at 103 Adams Ave. was burglarized on July 25 at 7 p.m.

A vehicle parked at the Centreville Parking Garage at 62 Canal St. was burglarized prior to 5 p.m. on July 24; a checkbook was taken.

Operating after suspension arrests

Christopher Beaulieu, 23, was charged with operating after suspension on July 24 at 11:42 p.m. at 20 Locus St. following a routine
traffic stop.

Christopher Poulin, 23, was charged with operating after suspension on July 29 at 7:17 p.m. at 43 Walnut St. following a routine
traffic stop.

Operating under the influence arrests

Jeffrey Gilbert, 54, was charged with operating under the influence on July 26 at 11:39 p.m. at Sabattus and Russell streets following a routine traffic stop.

Mark Kimball, 27, was charged with operating under the influence on July 29 at 11:05 p.m. at 166 Blake St. following a routine traffic stop.
