JAY — Meal prices at the Jay schools will remain the same, after the School Committee approved Superintendent Robert Wall’s recommendation not to raise them.

Student breakfasts at the high school are $2 each; lunch is $2.25. Middle-schoolers pay $1 for breakfast and $1.75 for lunch. At the elementary school, breakfast costs 60 cents and lunch is $1.75. An adult lunch is $3.75.

The prices are 50 to 75 cents below what the state allows districts to charge, Wall said.

Those eligible for reduced-price meals pay 30 cents for breakfast and 40 cents for lunch. Milk costs 50 cents.
