FARMINGTON — Greater Purpose will perform a gospel concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church. The free concert will be held on the front lawn, weather permitting.

Should it rain, the concert will take place in the sanctuary. A freewill offering will be received for the benefit of the musicians.

Greater Purpose is a Christian band formed to celebrate Christ’s life through song. Their songs are scriptural and address the way Jesus has touched their lives. Compositions are the original work of Cathi Burke, lead vocals and acoustic guitar, and Louise McCleery, harmony vocals. Craig Hutchinson plays acoustic guitar and sings vocals, while Alan Hutchinson plays keyboards and strings. The foursome hopes their songs will minister to others, both believers and nonbelievers.

Greater Purpose takes their name from Jeremiah 29:11. Their debut album is called Serenity CD and features inspirational, uplifting, original songs.

Henderson Memorial Baptist Church is located at the corner of Academy and Main streets. For more information, call 778-2163.
