LEWISTON — Veterans Council Chairman Paul Bernard has announced that the unveiling of the 18th veterans memorial stone will take place on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11. The stone currently has 96 names and can hold a total of 216 names. Any honorably discharged veteran who resides in Maine or had ties to Maine can be listed on the stones.
Applications to have names placed on the stone must be submitted as soon as possible, according to Bernard, as the 17th stone was filled much sooner than expected.
