Staples Road tree cutting

Road Committee
The issue: The board reviewed appointing a member to the road system study group for the Maine Municipal Association.
The scoop: Thomas Perkins was appointed by vote of the board.
Up next: The board also discussed what Perkins’ interest would be and what knowledge he may provide to the committee.
Hours of work
The issue: Selectmen discussed current hours of work for town employees.
The scoop: They decided the town manager would research recommendations for any changes that could potentially lower expenses.
Up next: Leavitt will provide a report of her research with recommendations of changes.
