FARMINGTON — Physician assistant Isaac Ball has joined the medical staff of Franklin Health Orthopaedics and Franklin Memorial Hospital. He assumed his new position on Aug. 3.

Ball recently received his master’s in physician assistant studies from the University of New England in Portland. Prior to that he completed his bachelor’sin community health from the University of Maine at Farmington.

Ball has performed clinical rotations in orthopedics, assisting in pre-, intra- and post-operative care of orthopedic patients, as well as assisting in casting and splinting of sprains and fractures. Before attending the University of New England, Ball worked as a physical therapy aide, assisting in the management of patient rehabilitation.

Franklin Health Orthopaedics provides a full range of orthopaedic services including arthroscopy and fracture care, as well as joint reconstruction, sports medicine and rehabilitation services. Ball joins orthopedic surgeons Nancy Cummings and Carmen Crofoot to its team of clinicians.
