STEUBEN, Maine (AP) – Two Maine teenagers haved died from injuries suffered when their car went through a stop sign and was hit broadside by another car in Steuben, Maine.
Police say 17-year-old Zachary Dean of Columbia Falls, the driver, and 15-year-old Morgan Parritt of Steuben, a passenger, died from severe head injuries after Tuesday night’s crash. A 12-year-old female passenger whose identity hasn’t been released is in stable condition.
The Bangor Daily News reports police said Dean was driving at a high rate of speed and failed to stop. The driver of the car was traveling with her husband and daughter. They weren’t injured.
Dean was starting his senior year at Narraguagus High School in Harrington. Parritt was entering her sophomore year at Sumner Memorial High School in Sullivan.
