AUBURN – Ryan Pleau and Dan Erickson led seven multiple hitters with three hits apiece, propelling Outlaws over Assassins, 15-3, in an Auburn Players League softball semifinal at Pettengill Park.
Pleau and Erickson each drove in two runs. Greg Brochu was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Ernie May, Reggie Ewing, Ray Bernard and Newman each went 2-for-3 and knocked home a run, while Doyle delivered a base hit and a pair of RBIs.
Erickson, Brochu, May and Jeff Roy led the defense behind winning pitcher James Bixby.

Meineke stays alive
AUBURN – Meineke Car Care remained in the Auburn Players league title hunt with a thrilling, 8-7 victory over Remax.
Remax scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to snag a 7-4 lead. Meineke rallied to tie on the strength of hits by Brackett, Albert, Martin, Willer and Rose.
Hits by Mike O’Connor and Jeff Goss and a Wilson walk loaded the bases for Scott Lovejoy’s game-winning hit.

Burgess trophy to be presented Monday
AUBURN – The Glen Burgess Memorial Trophy will be presented at 5:45 p.m. Monday at Pettengill Park. All former East Auburn players and teammates are invited to attend the ceremony.
