OTISFIELD — The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church invites the Oxford Hills community to join in their celebration as they formally welcome their new shepherd, Pastor Genise Knowlton.
At 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, there will be a special service of installation when Knowlton will accept her call to the American Baptist Churches of Maine, the West Area Association, the Oxford Hills Clergy Association and the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church.
Knowlton began her ministry with the church and the Otisfield community early in June, having graduated from Bangor Theological Seminary in May of this year with a master of divinity.
As a seminary student, Knowlton served the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church as a short-term interim during the winter of 2006 and served the First Baptist Church of Paris as pastor from 2006-2008.
