DIXFIELD — The Ludden Memorial Library children’s reading program, “Be Creative @ Your Library,” is under way. Children will keep track of their reading during July with the help of special stickers and reading charts. Prizes can be earned at the end of each completed week. Participants will receive a T-shirt at the end of the first week after meeting requirements.
All programs will run from 2 to 3 p.m. unless noted otherwise. They are as follows:
Tuesday, July 7, “Mr. Science Guy” will return with more of his science experiments.
Tuesday, July 14, Chewonki natural history programs will present “Creative Animal Adaptations” with three live animals.
Tuesday, July 21, will be a craft day. Children will make and decorate a mask and create a snack mix.
Tuesday, July 28, there will be reading awards and a closing program, “Magic, Illusion and Comedy of the Steelgraves.” Cake and punch will be served after the show.
