AUBURN — A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Mark J. Paradis was celebrated Tuesday by the Rev. Kevin Martin at Sacred Heart Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.
During the service, his mother, Cecile Paradis, proclaimed the Old Testament reading and Mark’s son in law, Chris Johndro, proclaimed the New Testament reading. The prayer of the faithful was recited by his mother. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Mark’s mother and his father, Joseph Paradis.
Following the Mass, military honors were held outside of church by the United States Army honor detail — who played taps and then folded and presented our country’s flag to Mark’s son, Travis Paradis, for services rendered by his father to his country during the Vietnam Conflict. At the conclusion of services, all were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Danville Grange in Danville.
Burial will be held privately in the family plot at Damon Cemetery, Buckfield. Arrangements by Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel, Auburn.
