PARIS – Norman Doughty, resident at the Market Square Health Care Center, was the top individual fundraiser for the annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake event in Oxford Hills.

He was one of about 30 residents who took part in the fundraiser, which supports the Child Health Center’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Program in Oxford Hills. This was the second year that residents at the center took part.
Many of the residents bowled in the activities room in the more traditional manner with bowling pins and balls, while others, including Doughty, took to the more modernized version of bowling, “Wii Bowling.”
Altogether they raised more than $582. Everyone wore their Bowl For Kids’ Sake T-shirts that afternoon.
The Big Brother Big Sister coordinators spent the afternoon cheering on the bowlers and handing out door prizes that had been donated by local businesses.
The Child Health Center has been offering mentoring programs in the Oxford Hills Community for more than 15 years.
