Coach: Brad Bishop (ninth year)

Last year’s record: 5-5, lost in Western Class C semifinals

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Chandler White (FB/LB), Jeff Ryder (HB/DB), Nate Michaud (SE/DB), Shawn Whiting (QB/DB), Matt Michaud (C), Jake Nichols (T); Juniors — Dillon Newcomb (T/DT), Mike Armstrong (TE/DE), Sam Chabot (G/LB), Alex Rose (HB/CB), Tyler Halliday (G).

Key losses: Kyle Stebbins (FB/LB), Zach Brochu (G/LB), Brandon Bachelder (T/DT), Matt Lord (T/DT), Ross Chicoine (TE).

Promising newcomers: Juniors — Andre Uter (DE), Holden Parker (G); Sophomore — Jake Richards (DT).

Outlook: Livermore Falls has some of its strongest numbers (43 players) in years after losing only five seniors. As is the custom in the Andies’ Wing-T, the premier back, White will move to fullback this season. Bishop also shifted Whiting from halfback to quarterback and moved former QB Michaud to split end. Ryder provides a home run threat in the backfield, as well. The line is young, with three of those five starters also making position changes this summer. After two seasons in the middle of the Campbell Conference pack, LF appears to be a playoff lock in ’09.

Coach’s Comment:

“We have a couple new kids on the line. It doesn’t look like we run a very fancy offense, but there’s a lot of technique for them to learn.” — Brad Bishop
