KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Forty-eight hours before the Kansas City Chiefs launch their season in Baltimore, coach Todd Haley says quarterback may not be the only position where the starter is not set in stone.

Matt Cassel, still wearing a knee brace, worked again at practice on Friday. But the first-year head coach said it will probably be a game time decision whether Cassel would face the rugged Baltimore defense.

If Cassel doesn’t start, Haley said he hasn’t decided whether Brodie Croyle or Tyler Thigpen would fill in.

Cassel injured his left knee on Aug. 29 and did not return to practice until Monday.

Haley suggested there may be other positions whose starters would not be decided upon until Friday afternoon’s staff meeting.
