Grange meeting
POLAND — Vicki Huff and her team will install the officers of Excelsior Grange 5 on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the hall, 446 Harris Hill Rd. Supper for members and guests will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting, open to the public, will begin at 7:30. Anyone interested in joining the Grange can learn more of its aims and purposes by viewing the installation ceremony.
Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on Sept. 15 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: first, Fred Letourneau and Rosemarie Goodwin; second, Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner; third, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; fourth, David Lock and Jeanine Kivus. Flight B winners were: first, Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner; second, Roger Labbe and Larry Fortier. Another game will be played at 9 a.m Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the center.
The club also met on Sept. 16 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners in Flight A were: Leslie Buzzell and John Hackett; tied at second, Luke Merry and Patricia Quinn with Jeanine Kivus and Rosemarie Goodwin. Flight B winners were Della Starbird and Eileen Potvin. Another game will be played at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Schooner Estates. A partner is guaranteed at both games. Sunday school
AUBURN — The Religious Exploration
program at First Universalist Church, 169 Pleasant St., will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.
The program, divided by age groups and open to children ages 3 to 18,
will include art and music activities, stories and discussions, hands-on
learning and community service opportunities.
Participants will learn about nature,

Library program
AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St., will have a trek around the library at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, to search for everyday invertebrates. Children age 8 and up will join Susan Hayward of Stanton Bird Club and Sharon
Hawkes of the library for the trek. The program will complement the “Spineless Wonders” art exhibit at L-A College.
