LEWISTON — A couple stole a fundraising jar from the front counter at the Main Street Big Apple last week, police said.

The two posed as prospective employees and pretended to fill out a job application, police said. No suspects have been identified nor has the surveillance video been viewed by police yet.

The canister was for money donations to fight Muscular Dystrophy, a store spokesman said.
