The Sabattus American Legion Auxiliary will host its annual card party beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21,
at the American Legion hall, Island Road. The Auxiliary has held the
function for more than 20 years. Proceeds from the card party allow the
Auxiliary to continue to sponsor Girls State, holiday food baskets,
care packages for the Armed Forces and gifts for the Togus Christmas
Gift Shop. There will be door prizes, a raffle table, 50/50 and
refreshments will be served. Tickets to the card party are $2 each and
will be available at the door in advance by contacting Joan Caron at
