Pianist honored
DIXFIELD — The members and friends of the Dixfield Common Baptist Church and the Carthage Union Church will hold the seventh annual thank you dinner at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the Dixfield Common Baptist Church, Common Road.
Each year, a person or group of people are recognized for their contribution to the community. In the past, firemen, police and town office personnel have been honored. This year, long-time member and pianist Edna Holman will be recognized. All who know her are invited for an evening of food and a celebration of thanks for all she has done.
Following the dinner will be a concert by Fishers of Men. No reservations are required, but because seating is limited, prior notice of attendance is preferred. For more information, contact Pastor Ken or Linda Hinkley at 562-7470.
Treats
WILTON — The Wilton Police Department will once again give out treats from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Wilton Public Safety Building.
