FARMINGTON — The United Way of the Tri-Valley Area invites area nonprofit
organizations that serve Franklin County, Livermore and Livermore Falls
to submit a proposal for funding in 2010. Applications
are due Friday, Dec. 11.
Funding decisions are made by a Community
Allocations Team that is made up of board members, volunteers and
United Way staff.
This year, the Community Allocations Team is interested in proposals that do one or more of the following: proposals that are new and innovative and that have significant, measurable community impact; that foster collaboration with other nonprofit organizations and address ways to avoid a duplication of effort; that address ways to meet immediate human needs, including
the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area’s top three priorities of fuel,
food and shelter; or that address our communities’ immediate needs, but also long-term prevention efforts.
Program funding is based on 2009-2010 campaign contributions, the
relative need for services provided, the effectiveness of the services
and a justification for the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area funding
request as it relates to other sources of funding.
Organizations should
direct any questions regarding this process to the United Way of the
Tri-Valley Area at 778-5048. Forms and eligibility requirements are
also available on line at www.uwtva.org.
