LEWISTON — The 2009 Great Falls Balloon Festival photo contest winners have been announced. The winning photo was taken by Jacquelynn Smith, age 11, of Delanson, N.Y.

Other winners were: first, over 18, Tom Reichard of Auburn; second, over 18, Tammy Goodenow of North Monmouth; third, over 18, Sharon Albiston of Auburn.

First, under 18, Megan D’Alessandro of Lewiston; second, under 18, Katie Wallingford of Minot; third, under 18, Roger Charest of Auburn.

Honorable mentions, Chris Baker of Auburn, Arlene McConnell of Topsham, Tom Reichard of Auburn, Pauline Ouimette of Lewiston, Susan Lasselle of Poland Spring, Nancy Richardson of Wilton, Doug Morgan of Auburn, Lisa Doherty of Lewiston, Janet Holtz of East Lyme, Conn., Susan Goddard of Lewiston, Sandy Turcotte of Lewiston, David Bosse of Spencer, Mass. and Yvonne Dyer of Auburn.

The winner’s reception was held on Oct. 25 at The Women’s Pavilion at St Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

The top 20 photos are on display at the Beeaker Gallery, St Mary’s Regional Medical Center. All the contest entries will soon be available for viewing online at www.greatfallsballoonfestival.org/ under the photo contest tab.
