Holiday fair

RANGELEY — The ECW of Good Shepherd Church will have the annual Holiday Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, at the church, Main Street.

The tables will feature a cookie walk, bake table, handiwork table, Christmas crafts and selections for holiday gift giving. There will be lunch choices of chicken pot pie, fish chowder or a ham salad roll plate. Desserts will include apple crisp and assorted pies. The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Retired educators

FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Retired Educators will meet 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Two Oaks, 218 Fairbanks Road. There will be a program followed by a meeting and lunch. All retired educators are welcome. For more information and reservations, call 778-4282.

FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue Area Garden Club will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Farmington Falls Road. Gil Riley, amateur photographer from Wilton, will present some of his many plant photos entitled “Poises and Petals.”

A social half hour will be held from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by Riley’s photos and the regular meeting led by Judy Fuller. Hostesses are Adria Gray, Debbie Davis-Robinson and Matiana Glass. For more information, call 645-2067. Members and the public are invited to attend.

Nursing information

FARMINGTON — Franklin Memorial Hospital will have an information session about becoming a registered nurse at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in the Foster Room at the hospital.

Participants will learn about the Central Maine Medical Center College of Nursing and Health Professions application process, admission requirements and curriculum requirements.

The College of Nursing and Health Professions offers its two-year, associate degree registered nurse program via live video conferencing to a classroom at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Public supper

NEW PORTLAND — A public supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the New Portland Community Church, West Village. The chef will be Mike Simone, who for years ran a bakery in New York before retiring to Maine. The meal will feature lasagna, Italian bread, salad, beverages and assorted homemade pies. The cost is $6 each person. Take out will be available.

CANTON — The Poodunck Snowmobile Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at the clubhouse, Canton Point Road. All are welcome.

TURNER — A Tai Chi class will begin at MSAD 52 Adult and Community Education on Wednesday, Nov. 18. The first class will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The ancient art of wellness offers many benefits including decreased blood pressure, increased flexibility, stress reduction, improved balance and effective self-defense. FRYEBURG — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and
registration meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at thr C. A. Snow
School.

Girl Scouts is for girls between the ages of 5 to 17.
