DUNEDIN, Fla. — The wedding of Danica Leigh Steele and Jeffrey Fenton Cockrell was held at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 at the First Presbyterian Church in Dunedin, Fla.
The bride is the daughter of Sandra Steele and William Steele of Florida, formerly of Auburn.
The matron of honor was a friend of the bride, Summer Lever Wool. Bridesmaids were Barbra Divino and Lisa White, friends of the bride, and Angela Williams, sister of the bridegroom. Alexis Wolfe, family friend of the couple, was flower girl.
A long-time friend of the bridegroom, Jonathan Walker, was best man. Groomsmen were Jason Cooper, cousin of the bridegroom, Wade Williams, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Mark Walker, life-long friend of the bridegroom. Jameson Steele, brother of the bride, was usher and Weston Williams, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Fla. The couple honeymooned on a 10-day Mediterranean cruise and they are residing near Tampa Bay, Fla.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Edward Little High School and a graduate of Lasell College in Newton, Mass. She received her master’s degree from the University of South Florida. She is employed as a social worker with a Florida school district.
The bridegroom received a master’s degree from Florida State University and is employed as a counter-terrorism analyst with a financial institution in Tampa.
